I have always enjoyed the outdoors. I think all the traveling and camping my family did when I was a youngster instilled that in me. I am a pharmacist by education and occupation but I’m a photographer by passion. There are not many things I’d rather do than to be outdoors with my camera. I have been blessed to live in beautiful Colorado, about an hour from Rocky Mountain National Park and minutes from several scenic canyons. I enjoy all kinds of photography but I really love landscape and nature photography especially the mountains and the vistas, color and wildlife they provide.

As a Christian, I believe beauty that surrounds us, in all its forms, is a gift from God. The purpose of my photography is simply to provide an easel to display His artwork. I hope that you will draw some inspiration from my photography and maybe gain a new or deeper appreciation of God’s artistry.

My primary tools are Canon 5D and Canon 60D digital SLR cameras, a variety on Canon lenses, a Manfrotto tripod and Epson printers, paper and ink. Another tool I use is Adobe Lightroon and /or Photoshop. As advanced as todays digital cameras are, they still can’t come close to the matching the images as seen by our eyes. The editing I do in the “digital darkroom” is, for the most part, simply intended to bring the image as close as I can to what I remember seeing in the viewfinder.

I would like to give credit and thanks also to:

God, for blessing me with a little bit of the photographer’s eye.

I also have been blessed with a wonderful and patient wife who puts up with all the early mornings when I wake her as I try to sneak out before sunrise as well as all the sudden “photo stops” while we’re traveling down the road. At this point it’s probably appropriate to apologize to all the nice folks traveling down the road behind me (past and future) when I make those sudden pull-offs to take a photo.
